Just add bubbles...

The tile work is now complete, and all of the bathrooms are simply divine! Unique design and unique tile and spa-like finishes, they just make you want to spend all day getting ready.

Tomorrow is cabinet day so we will all be holding our breath to see how big the master bathroom cabinet really is, and if Joe and Tony have enough muscles to lug it up to the second floor. If not, perhaps I will need to pitch in - NOT! We'll be hanging cabinets all weekend, so stay tuned for an updated photo of the completed kitchen.

That's all for now, Becky

Drumroll, please...

TaaDaa - Now showing - the Januzsewski Fireplace! This one is sure to be the centerpiece of the home - We'll paint the interior arch and find some great artwork or vases to complete the look. The next picture is the foyer floor - featuring their fabulous medallion, artful tile work and a 5" wood picket border. Check out the great front door as well - It is an extremely elegant and inviting foyer!

This-n-That...

I took a ride out Crown Point today to preview the tile before Stacy did - I believe the tile guys must have worked all night to put that much tile down in such a short time:). The kitchen floor and all of the bathroom floors were done. After a quick climb up the makeshift stairs that you basically have to crawl up and back down, and some quick photos of the floors, I took a walk around the house. To my surprise, the siding was going on (a lovely color called Autumn Tan - which works so well with the brick - good pick, guys), and the audio guys were digging a trench in the backyard. I was so surprised to see Pete (who is usually inside pulling wire) with a shovel, that I stepped in an ooey gooey slimy puddle of mud with my brand new fall shoes - so I had to go and rub them around in a patch of grass before I got into my car.

Stay tuned for some pics of the new tile work, and the oh-so-breathtaking fireplace design. It's worth the wait!

That's all for today:)

Tile Tile and More Tile

This week is a busy week for the Crown Point House. We're building the fireplace, beginning the trim work, and laying down tile. Met with the homeowner (Stacy) today to lay out the tile/wood inlay pattern - which is always a tedious process - however, Stacy had her handy dandy photo album with her with pictures of the model, so it was a piece of cake (thanks, Stacy!). There were four tile guys bouncing around the house, so I'm sure it won't be long before we will have updated pictures and their new and delicious flooring! Stay tuned for updated photos as we prepare for trim work, cabinets and more!! I can smell the turkey dinner now:).

Foundation complete (check) steel set (check) start framing

The foundation and outside walls are insulated and the box has been back filled with dirt. As you can see the steel is set in the basement and we hooked up the water and sewer.
The next step is to start building the house. Once we start building it will take about 3 weeks to complete the framing.
Keep checking back because it is going to get interesting !

Off on a SOLID foot in IN!

Today they are laying down the footings for the house. This pictures shows the boxes in the basement where the poles will go to hold up the steel. If this gets inspected in time you should see concrete footings on the next photo.

Thanks,

Tony

We dug, you dig?

We officially started the White Hawk project. The ground was very hard to dig which is great news. This shoud be a very solid footing and foundation for this home.

We will be updating this blog a couple times a week to keep you posted on the project.

Thanks

Tony

1340 Napa Court - Crown Point Indiana

In an effort to keep everyone up on our current projects we are going to blog the construction of 1340 Napa Court, Crown Point IN. We are building the home as a custom "build-to-suit" for the Januszewski family.

The Januszewski's saw our model home in Brookmeadow Estates of Frankfort and knew right away it was what they wanted on the lot they owned in Crown Point. The owners at Quantum Building & Design tried to persuade Mike and Stacy to build in Frankfort, where Quantum has done 30+ homes in the last 4 years. Mike and Stacy gave it serious thought but decided they wanted to build on the land they already owned.

The construction consists of a 4100 sq/ft 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom Georgian style home with custom finishings throughout. The home they are building will be much like the one seen here on the Quantum website - http://www.quantum-building.com/worthington_home.asp

We look forward to building Mike and Stacy their dream home!
